Fellow, Curtin Academy
In 2014 I was named as one of the inaugural 11 Fellows of the Curtin Academy, an active honorary network of exceptional leaders committed to the collaboration and dissemination of teaching excellence at Curtin University (http://www.curtin.edu.au/cli/curtin_academy/index.cfm) . In 2015 I was elected by my peers to join the Curtin Academy's Executive.
Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) Register of Experts, appointed in 2013 2012 Curtin eScholar
The eScholars Program (from 2010 - 2014) assisted academic staff from across the University to implement new strategies that transformed learning and teaching. This entailed designing and implementing student learning activities that increased student engagement. I received $10,000 worth of funding to develop and implement a student-centred, blended learning approach to increase student engagement across five campuses. Student generated case studies and reflective learning vlogs (video blogs) were at the core of the program and encouraged deeper and richer learning experiences.
